Hello there! Welcome back.
In my last post I told you that I was going to be attending the Calgary Comic-Con this year. Well, I did go and it was a blast!
There were many costumed heros and villains. Some costumes were purchased and others were hand-made. I was hoping that I would see more cardboard suits, but there were mostly Stormtroopers and Trekkies this time around. There was one costume that did catch my eye due to the materials used. It was a Halo suit made from foam and cardboard. It gave me a few ideas, but the Alphonse armour will still be a great challenge.
Unfortunately, I have not had a chance to start laying it out as these past few months have been very busy. My husband and I are moving at the end of the month, which will give me more space to work on it; almost and entire basement in fact!
I will continue collecting materials and looking for ideas to help with the process for now. Once we get the move out of the way, I should be able to start my blueprints and then drawing out the plans directly onto the cardboard. Until then, there is not much to tell you. But, as promised, I have some Comic-Con photos to share with you! Enjoy, and I hope to see you again soon.
